What is your dev/test setup?

Hi All,

I am looking for examples of the setup people use to add devices to zigbee2mqtt. I use hass.io on a 3b+ pi that is my everyday system and I have just purchased a second sniffer to allow me to work on integrating other zigbee devices into zigb2mqtt. What do you all use to do this? a virtual machine and usb pass through? All of my devices are windows at the moment.

Keen to hear the best way to go to.

I have it running and have paired a known working device - I can see it working fine so thanks!

  • I have a Sercomm power plug which currently isn’t supported. I believe i need to sniff the traffic as a basic configuration isn’t working. ZBOSS keeps throwing an error about; Failed to connect to sniffer at COM3

Do I absolutely have to flash the ZBOSS firmware for the sniffing to work? I flashed it and then zigbee2mqtt wouldnt start.
