What is the best way to change a defect router?
Do I have to relearn all devices next to the new router or should they get recognized by the new router?

I believe it may depend on what version you were running? The new ones should be able to pick up where you left off, but if you had an old configuration it might not?
Not 100% sure on that though sorry.
