I am trying to join this bulb to my network…
I have Touchlink method and from what I can see the factory reset was successful and the bulb flashed twice. But it just doesn’t seem to want to auto join to my zigbee network. I have confirmed that permit_join is set to “true”.
I am running 1.8.0 of zigbee2mqtt, any help would be appreciated…
UPDATE : Nothing came up in the log viewer or in my MQTT client but in the configuration.yaml file I noticed a new entry at the bottom… I tried sending an on/off to this device and my new bulb turns on and off…
So it’s kind of working but seems strange in that it’s not getting reported anywhere in the logs or MQTT?
Could this be the way it is supposed to work?
The RGB bulb I purchased also seems to be behaving in this way… I was expecting them to report their state, linkquality etc to the MQTT broker?
Looks like enabling the “report” advanced option in the configuration.yaml helps and now I get to see details like brightness, linkquality etc…
