Disabling a router

I have an Ikea RGB bulb which isn’t always powered on (it’s on a circuit with other lamps). If I add another device when it’s on, quite often the new device will connect to it over any of the dedicated routers, and then when the Ikea lamp is turned off they’re left dangling with no network connection.

Is it possible to disable the router functionality of the Ikea bulb, but retain it as a device?

I would also be interested in this, an option to disable routing capabilities of a device, for stability purposes.

Did you find any solution to this? Also have the same issue and want to disable routing for couple of my bulbs.

No, but it’s not been much of an issue recently.
3 things have helped with network stability for me:
- only add new devices with the part-time routers turned off
- splitting the xiaomi and samsung smartthings devices on to separate networks - they don’t play nice together
- Using a zzh coordinator (for the main network - smartthings sockets are using a CC2531 still)
My zigbee network(s) are now very very stable.
